Abangan ang susunod na kabanata! Mocha Uson to run in 2019 polls

Resigned Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson would run for a congressional seat in the May 2019 polls.
“Naniniwala po ako na paninira ‘yan sa pulitika, eh, dahil akala nila ako’y tatakbo. Kaya siguro, challenge na lang po sa akin ‘yan na bibigyan ko po ng boses ang ordinaryong Pilipino kaya… Oo! Tatakbo na ako!” Uson said Monday (October 8).
“Bwisit na bwisit na ako. Sobra na ‘yung paninira. Masiyado namang threatened yata. ‘Si Mocha tatakbo bang senador? Si Mocha tatakbo bang congresswoman?’ Masiyado na yung paninira sa akin na lantarang pekeng balita na sasabihin na ganoon,” she added.
Uson said this in a chance interview with Senate reporters, who asked for her reaction to an Inquirer.net story which said that she was fired from her post and did not simply resign to allow the propose 2019 budget of the PCOO to move through Congress.
Right after announcing her resignation during a Senate hearing on the PCOO’s budget last week, Uson said she is open to running either for congresswoman or senator.
Now, she says that she would run for either posts, but is still undecided and would have to consult with President Rodrigo Duterte first.
The former sexy starlet-turned-assistant secretary for one year and five months said she was at the Senate to interview Senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito on the Universal Healthcare Bill, which the Senate passed on third reading that afternoon, and “consult” with Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Sotto is the Nationalist People’s Coalition’s (NPC) senior council leader and has been talking to some politikos to join their senatorial slate for next year’s elections.
While Uson said there were no talks of joining the NPC, she seemed to rule out running under ruling party Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan, quoting party president Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel, who previously said she was not included in the party’s senatorial lineup for “self-explanatory” reasons.
Politiko has previously reported that Uson is being recruited by ACTS-OFW party-list to run as its nominee in 2019, replacing the embattled Rep. Aniceto “John” Bertiz.
Before and during her stint at the PCOO, Uson has been accused of peddling false information through her Facebook page “Mocha Uson Blog” and has drawn flak for encouraging her fellow blogger Drew Olivar to perform a lewd song-and-dance number on federalism and mock sign language.
