Agrabyadong-agrabyado! Ping says justice is the clear victim in Imelda case
Justice is the clear victim in the Sandiganbayan’s verdict finding former First Lady Imelda Marcos guilty of seven counts of graft, Sen. Panfilo Lacson said Friday.
In a post on his Twitter account, Lacson noted the investigation on Mrs. Marcos’ supposed graft started more than 30 years ago.
Mrs. Marcos is now 89, with the possibility of being too old to serve her sentence should it be deemed final.
“Mrs. Marcos’ cases were first investigated more than 3 decades ago. She is now 89 years old. Regardless of the verdict, justice is a clear victim,” Lacson said in a post on his Twitter account.

With the conviction, Mrs. Marcos faces imprisonment of six to 11 years for each count of graft or up to 77 years.
She also faces perpetual disqualification from public office.
But assistant special prosecutor Rey Quilala, said the conviction is not deemed final, and Mrs. Marcos may still file a motion for reconsideration.
