Ano ako, uto-uto? Koko on Drilon seeking war with Bebot: Talk to the hand
Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III on Sunday took a jab at Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon for continuously egging him to engage in a word war with House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez due to the latter’s tirades on the upper chamber’s performance.
“I have already defended the Senate by responding to what the Speaker has said. Why does he want me to continue (to have a) word war with the Speaker? He belongs to LP (Liberal Party) and I belong to PDP-Laban. Hence, why should I do that?” Pimentel said in a text message to reporters.
Alvarez has criticized the Senate calling it “mabagal na kapulungan” or slow chamber, saying that it has been sluggish in passing important measures.
Pimentel said he would not want to pick up a fight with Alvarez who is the secretary-general of their party, PDP-Laban, and who he considers a friend.
“Sabi nya nababagalan sya, sinagot naman namin pero hindi kami pwedeng mag-away. Sasagot tayo sa criticism. Kung mas malalim ang gusto ni Drilon dyan wala na po ako magagawa,” he said.
