Escudero, the running mate of Senator Grace Poe, said he would even prefer if more than one vice presidential debates will be held because it will grant equal footing for independent candidates like him and those running under a political party.
“Whether in Cebu or in Mindanao or in Luzon, as long as it will be covered (by media), it will be an opportunity for us to share our platform, we will be there,” he told reporters on Saturday (March 5).
Escudero confirmed he will be attending the lone vice presidential debate to be held at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila on April 10.
He welcomed the event organized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec), saying it will be an opportunity for him and his rivals to present their platform to the public with full media coverage.
“Kaming mga kulang sa advertisement gusto naming mag-attend sa debate para makita sa TV,” he said.
The vice presidential debate at UST will be presented by CNN Philippines and Business Mirror.
