Baka di tayo makabwelo! Robredo cool to accepting another Cabinet post
Vice President Leni Robredo is no longer keen on becoming a member of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Cabinet if ever he asks her to join his administration again.
In an interview with Ted Failon over dzMM radio Tuesday (March 28), Robredo said she and Duterte have far too many differences to be able to work together again.
The Vice President, however, said she does not think Duterte would ever consider offering her another Cabinet post.
Robredo resigned as chair of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council last December after she was told to stop attending Cabinet meetings.
Duterte later admitted that it was Robredo’s supposed ties to groups allegedly planning to oust him which made him decide that working with the Vice President has become untenable.
Robredo, for her part, admitted that expressing full support for all of the President’s policies was one of her problems when she was part of the Cabinet since she was seen as his alter ego.
Parang di ko kayang suportahan iyon,” she said.
