Bongga ka ‘day! Duterte reveals lavish travels of gov’t official
President Rodrigo Duterte has set off a guessing game of sorts after revealing that a government official has expensive taste in traveling.
In a speech before members of the Philippine Air Force Dragon Boat team in Malacanang Tuesday night (August 22), Duterte said the government official makes extravagant– and pricey– choices from airplane seat to accommodation.
T*** i**…,” he fumed.
“But this will come out,” he added.
Duterte said he has fired several government officials over corruption but not all of them have been reported by the media.
It is… It will… You know, may backlash ‘yan sa pamilya eh and it is not good,” he said.
Duterte once again brought up the fate of former Interior Secretary Ismael Sueno, whom he accused of buying allegedly overpriced firetrucks.
“Eh ‘yung ano, pumunta ng… Cabinet member, pumunta ng Washington, nagpasyal. He went back… He went to Austria to buy a fire truck worth 18 million a piece,” he said.
