Cayetano’s questions are annoying, ‘nakakapundi’: San Beda Law dean says Robredo has nothing to do with Matobato
Fr. Ranhilio Aquino, dean of the Graduate School of Law of San Beda College, has found Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano’s questioning at yesterday Senate hearing on extra judicial killings “annoying.”
Aquino said that the losing running mate of President Rodrigo Duterte was not interested in knowing the truth behind the explosive testimony of self-confessed Davao Death Squad hitman Edgar Matobato.
In an interview with DZMM’s Ted Failon, Aquino said Cayetano did not cross-examine Matobato as he was “more interested in putting the blame on (Matobato’salleged ‘coached testimony’ on the door of the LP (Liberal Party).”
“When you start imputing malice on Liberal Party people who have nothing to do with (Matobato), what’s that for? Why (drag the name of) Vice President Leni Robredo? That’s so annoying,” said Aquino.
Cayetano explained that he only wanted to expose the “motive” of LP in bringing Matobato to the Senate. “That is my right because I am testing whether he is a credible witness of this part of ‘Plan B’ of the Liberal Party to get Malacañang,” said Cayetano.
