De Lima feels bitterness in Lacson’s rebuke of groups seeking her freedom
Detained Sen. Leila de Lima is hoping that Sen. Ping Lacson will not suffer her fate- being sent to jail despite being innocent.
She made the remark after Lacson berated an international group of women for “arrogantly” demanding from the Duterte government to release her from detention.
“I hope I’m wrong in sensing some bitterness in Senator Lacson’s scoffing at international groups, the latest being the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD) in calling for my immediate release,” she said.
“Sana hindi po maranasan ni Senator Lacson na makulong na walang kasalanan,” said De Lima, detained at the Phil. National Police Custodial Center on drug charges.
