Duterte calls Trillanes a ‘barking dog’: He filched towels, bedsheets, silverware when he took over Peninsula Hotel

Mar 20, 2017 @ 9:13

‎President Rodrigo Duterte unleashed a volley of insults against his most vocal and aggressive critics since the campaign, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

In a speech before the Filipino community during his arrival at Myanmar Sunday night, Duterte belittled Trillanes’ track record as a mutineer, specifically his failed siege of the Peninsula Hotel 10 years ago. This was his second try to oust then President Macapagal-Arroyo after the 2003 Oakwood Suites mutiny. Arroyo is a key ally of Duterte.

“Look at this idiot. Trillanes is a barking dog. He’s just a… you know this guy, he was the one na nag-mutiniy. Naalaala ninyo ‘yung sa ‎Makati? Nagpa-muti-mutiny, ‘yun palang kaduwagan niya pagdating ng pulis nagsurrender,” said Trillanes.

“Ang ginawa, ninakaw ‘yung lahat ng mga twalya sa peninsula , mga bed sheets tanang kutsara. At hindi naman umabot ng barilan maski isang putok tapos,” said Duterte.

“Nakita naman niyo ang behavior medyo ano, pareho kay De Lima,” said Duterte ‎referring to Senator Leila de Lima who has been detained for drug trafficking.
