President Rodrigo Duterte has cancelled his speech supposedly scheduled at 3 p.m. today.
In a Viber message, Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) on Monday said Duterte will no longer meet with reporters assigned to cover the chief executive.
“Hi all, I would like to relay that the PRRD Press Conference is no longer included in today’s activities, thank you,” Undersecretary Feducio Mia Reyes Lucas said.
No reason for the cancellation has been specified.
On Monday, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque Jr. announced that the President will “speak to the nation” on September 11.
“He announced in Davao that he wants to speak to the nation. And if I am not mistaken, it is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon,” Roque said in a press briefing.
