Duterte doesn’t like phone calls or visits from poltikos, businessmen: Hindi maganda ang lumalabas
President Rodrigo Duterte avoids phone calls or personal meetings with politikos and businessmen because it makes him “uneasy.”
In a speech in Tagum City Saturday, Duterte said advised businessmen to discuss their proposals with Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez who has orders to divide all government contracts equally.
“Walang pulitiko na makalapit sa akin ngayon, maghingi ng project diyan. I do not entertain it and I do not talk to them. Sinabi ko noon na I have never talked about any project over the phone or any particular mga patronage. Totoo ‘yan,” said Duterte.
“Wala akong cellphone. Hindi ako tumatanggap ng tawag. Lalo na ‘yang mga punta mga negosyante doon. I do not enjoy it. I mean, I’m kind of uneasy ‘pag kausap ko nun. Maraming istoryang hindi magandang lumabas,” he added.
He said he has no problems with individuals asking for projects as long as everything was above board and that the contracts would be spread out among a big group and not just a few contractors.
“O maghingi ka ng project. Basta malinis lang, walang hao shao. At kung may pera, you want this road, a new road, ibigay ko. Total ang hati ko sa pera, equally talaga eh. Sabi ko kay Finance, kay Sonny Dominguez, ‘divide it equally among all of us’,” said Duterte.
