Duterte hosts birthday dinner for BFF Berna Puyat
New Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo Puyat got a special treat from President Duterte when he hosted a birthday dinner for her in Malacañang Monday night.
The special dinner for the pambansang BFF occurred after Puyat took her oath as DOT Secretary before the President at the Palace. Puyat, who replaced resigned Secretary Wanda Teo, was joined by her daughter and her parents former Senator Alberto Romulo and Rosie Lovely Tecson-Romulo during the oath-taking ceremony.
Also joining the private dinner with the President were Berna’s sister Mons Romulo, and friends Ben Chan, Miguel Pastor, and Simon Tantoco.
Puyat, an economics graduate from the University of the Philippines, served as Agriculture Undersecretary for Administration, Agribusiness and Marketing, and Regional Engagement since July 2017.
She also became Undersecretary for Special Concerns at the Agriculture Department during the Aquino administration.
