Duterte reveals daughter Veronica ain’t a fan of K-12: Pwede bang tanggalin na lang?
President Rodrigo Duterte’s youngest daughter, Veronica, apparently doesn’t relish spending two more years in primary school before going to college.
In his speech at Metrobank’s 55th anniversary Tuesday (September 6), Duterte quoted his daughter telling him if he could scrap the law creating the K-12 education system.
“Sabi niya, ‘Pa, itangggal mo na ‘yang K-12. Wala mang kwenta ‘yan. Bakit…? Sabi ko, ’Nak, hindi mo lang alam, pero ang original K-12 na estudyante, tatay mo,” he recalled.
Duterte has not been shy about admitting that he spent seven years to finish high school because he was stubborn.
Veronica, 13, is currently in high school. She is studying in Davao City.
