Duterte slams ‘idiots’ cheering his poor ratings: I’m already President, I don’t care about the numbers
President Rodrigo Duterte lambasted his critics for cheering when his net satisfaction rating dropped by 11 points during the second quarter of the year.
In a speech in Malacañang Tuesday (August 14), Duterte called those who rejoiced over the decline in his ratings as “idiots.”
“Oh because you said p***** i** in public your rating is … When I said something about God, I was addressing
the priest. So I got 54. And so media and the rest of the — also idiots — they were happy. ‘Ah now he is falling down’,” he said.
Duterte, however, said he does not care about ratings since he is already President.
“I am not — I am already the president. Do not … Numbers — no more. I do not care even. So 54, then another Pulse Asia, you are now 82. There’s something wrong with the Filipinos if that is a reflection according to you,” he said.
A Social Weather Stations (SWS) conducted in June showed Duterte’s net satisfaction rating hitting a new low of +45.
SWS conducted the survey from June 27 to 30, days after Duterte called God “stupid” in a speech.
