Duterte’s drug crackdown: 1,847 deaths, 1.2 million surrenderees, 28.57% lower crime index
The government is trying to stop the spread of fake news about its intensified crackdown on illegal drugs.
The Presidential Communications Office, in cooperation with the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, recently presented the “real numbers” about the anti-drug efforts, from the number of suspects neutralized and surrendered to the reduction of the country’s crime rate.
“The drug problem in the country is undeniably serious. Take a look at the real numbers. #RealNumbersPH,” the PCOO wrote on Facebook.
