Jordan has donated two Cobra attack helicopters to the Philippines to help the latter enhance its defense capability.
Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go on Thursday said the donation was announced during the bilateral meeting of President Rodrigo Duterte and Jordan’s King Abdullah II.
The two helicopters, which cost $18 million each, will be delivered to the Philippines in July next year when Filipino pilots have been trained, according to Go.
Duterte’s aide said other Jordanian donation includes mortars, rifles, rocket-propelled grenades.
The President is currently in Jordan on a three-day official visit.
