Duwag lang? Aguirre says no fratmen want to become witness in Castillo hazing death
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II admitted there have been no takers among members of the Aegis Juris fraternity to turn state witness in the death of University of Sto. Tomas (UST) law student Horacio “Atio” Castillo III.
His latest offer was made to Ralph Trangia who returned last October 10 after fleeing to the United States following his neophyte’s death.
Asked if Trangia accepted his offer, Aguirre said on Monday (October 16) “not yet.”
Apart from Trangia, Aguirre said he was willing to turn witness another Aegis Juris member, John Paul Solano.
There was also another unidenfitied fratman who also approached Aguirre but neither him nor Solano have responded to the Secretary’s offer.
Both Trangia and Solano have been named as respondents in the criminal complaints filed before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
