Esperon looks into #Lenileaks scandal: Why is Robredo’s name always cropping up?

‎National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon is not taking reports of a stateside plot to oust President Rodrigo Duterte lightly.

In an interview with Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, Esperon said that ‎the exposed conversation thread in a Yahoo group between United States-based Liberal Party supporters and local backers plotting protest actions to oust Duterte “looked serious” and deserved a much deeper probe.

Duterte supporters led by blogger Thinking Pinoy have dubbed the ouster plot against Duterte as #Lenileaks with its plan to install Vice President Leni Robredo in Malacanang.

The Yahoo e-mail group dubbed “Global Filipino Diaspora Council” (GFDC) was led by rabid Robredo supporters Loida Nicolas-Lewis a Imelda “Mely” Nicolas.

Esperon, however, has no plans of stopping the group from continuing to hold conversations on their plan to oust Duterte. He said they were taking the Robredo’s word that she has no hand in it.

He said his recommendation to Duterte would depend on how far the group planned to carry out what they were talking about on social media.
