Ex-UP home economics dean ordered to pay fine over SALN irregularity
Former University of the Philippines (UP) Home Economics Dean Milagros Querubin has been fined P4,000 after pleading guilty for her failure to file her her Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) as well as having failing to declare properties.
The Office of the Ombudsman boasted on Thursday (November 2) its prosecutors secured the conviction of Querubin before the Quezon City Metropolitan Trial Court.
The Ombudsman said Acting Presiding Judge Don Ace Mariano Alagar found Querubin guilty of four counts of violating of Section 8 of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (Republic Act No. 6713).
Under the charges, she failed to file her SALNs in 2008 and 2009 as well as failing to declare two real properties located at Barangay Putatan, Alabang, Muntinlupa City in her 2010 and 2011 SALNs.
