Funds for free SUC tuition? Pimentel targets budget realignment from non-performing agencies

Aug 14, 2017 @ 22:17

The budget of non-performing agencies could realigned to bankroll the recently-enacted law providing free college education next year, Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III on Monday said.

Pimentel admitted that they are now posed with a challenge after the executive branch did not provide appropriations in the 2018 national budget for the Free Higher Education Act.

So hanapan namin ng pondo ‘yan. Yan po ang challenge sa amin ngayon,” he said.
