Early campaigning? RJ Jacinto’s radio airs Bong Go’s ads

The campaign season is still four months away but this FM radio based in Metro Manila is already flooded with on-air promotional endorsements of administration senatorial bet Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go.
Several listeners of RJ 100.3 FM recently were upset after hearing the apparent early campaign ads of the President’s former aide a few times a day.
No less than RJFM’s big boss and Presidential Adviser of Economic Affairs Ramon Jacinto does the voice over in promoting the so-called “Malasakit Centers” launched by Go’s camp in various parts of the country.
Aside from Jacinto and Go, President Rodrigo Duterte can also be heard in that supposed early campaign gimmickry for his former top aide.
Last October 5, some listeners of that said FM station were also disturbed upon hearing another early campaign jingle from Go, in the tune of “Hayaan mo Sila.”
Twitter user @otikotikotik can’t hide his frustration over the said ad and posted it on social media.
“What?! Campaign Period na ba? I heard a Bong Go jingle on the radio in the tune of “Hayaan mo Sila” sa RJ FM,” said the Twitter user.
Premature campaigning is more of a “question of delicadeza” since it is not prohibited under the Omnibus Election Code according to Commission on Elections (COMELEC) spokesperson James Jimenez.
Last week, Go drew flak after the poll body admitted that he was given special treatment during the filing of his candidacy for senator after being escorted by his boss, President Duterte himself.
