Employees of government agencies that generated savings are expected to get an additional cash incentive of up to P25,000 in December, according to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
Under Budget Circular No. 2018-5, those occupying regular, contractual, or casual positions, full-time or part-time in national government agencies, state universities and colleges, government-owned and controlled corporations, local water districts, and local government units are qualified to receive the incentive.
“Qualified government employees may expect to receive another cash incentive not exceeding P25,000, through the Collective Negotiation Agreement or CNA. The annual CNA Incentive is a one-time benefit, and shall be granted not earlier than December 15, 2018,” said DBM on Wednesday.
Both management and rank-and-file employees of agencies with approved and successfully implemented CNAs will be granted such incentive.
The CNA incentive recognizes the efforts of agencies “in accomplishing performance targets at a lesser cost and in attaining more efficient and viable operations through cost-cutting measures and systems improvement,” the department said in a press statement.
DBM added, “The rate of CNA Incentive shall not be pre-determined since it is subject to compliance with conditions outlined in Budget Circular No. 2018-5, as well as the availability of the allowable allotments. But in all cases, the CNA Incentive shall not exceed PhP25,000 per qualified employee.”
