Gugulong na: NBI to charge ‘rent-sangla’ suspects, says Aguirre
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will be filing within the coming days criminal complaints against the suspects behind the “rent-sangla” scam, said Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II.
“In a few days it should be filed,” disclosed Aguirre.
The Secretary said that among the charges that the NBI will file is syndicated estafa–a non-bailable offense.
At the moment, the Philippine National Police (PNP) and some victims have filed before the Department of Justice (DOJ) criminal raps against scam suspects Rafaela Anunciacion, Tychicus Nambia, Anastacia Cauyan, Sabina Torrea, Eliseo Cortez, Eleanor Constatino, Marilou Cruz, Jhennelyn Berroya, Ana Borlon and Lea Rosales.
They have been accused of carjacking, swindling and syndicated estafa.
