Here’s why Teddyboy Locsin cursed, called De Lima ‘fat bitch’ on Twitter even if he likes her
Despite admiring her feistiness, newly appointed Philippine Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Teodoro “Teddyboy” Locsin Jr. couldn’t help but lash out at Senator Leila de Lima on Twitter after she highlighted the importance of legal procedure at a Senate hearing.
In an interview on CNN Philippines’ “The Source” Thursday (Oct. 6), Locsin said he was unable to stop himself from cursing at De Lima online because he believes she lacks credibility to talk about legal procedure.
“I have stood by De Lima. I like her feistiness, true, but she’s the last person to do that. The Supreme Court issued a TRO (temporary restraining order) allowing GMA (former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo) to go [abroad] but she spat on it,” he said.
Locsin’s Twitter outburst stemmed from inquirer.net’s live tweet of De Lima saying warrantless arrest can be done if the suspect is caught in the act.
In response, Locsin tweeted: “Ah, shut the fuck up, you fat bitch. GMA had a TRO from the Supreme Court and you spat on it.”
As justice secretary under the Aquino administration, De Lima stopped Arroyo from leaving the Philippines for Singapore in 2011 even if she had a TRO from the SC.
Voting 8-5, the SC said the travel ban imposed on Arroyo and her husband, former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo, at that time was unconstitutional because they had not yet been charged with any crime.
