Honeylet denies Duterte a killer: Ba’t buhay pa si Trillanes?
President Rodrigo Duterte’s common law wife has finally spoken up against allegations that he is a killer.
Gracing the launch of the Philippine National Police’s “Life after Tokhang” program Monday (October 2), Cielito “Honeylet” Avanceña pointed out that Duterte’s political enemies such as Senator Antonio Trillanes IV would have long been dead if he were indeed bloodthirsty.
Turning emotional, she said: “You’ve seen it, Trillanes has been hitting us since a week before election. Eh bakit buhay pa siya? Di ba? Wala naman nangyayari eh, so it’s not true. You know that he’s not that kind of person.”
Contrary to the popular notion about her partner, Avanceña said Duterte is forgiving, citing his mended ties with long-time political rival, former House Speaker Prospero Nograles.
“Nograles himself has done not very good things to him in the past, but loook how forgiving he is,” he said.
Trillanes has accused Duterte of having undeclared bank deposits running into several hundred million pesos. He has also tagged the President’s son, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, in illegal activities such as smuggling.
