Inflation, endo, pol dynasties first: Robredo says railroading ChaCha won’t address gov’t pressing problems

Vice President Leni Robredo said the administration should focus on addressing more pressing problems instead of prioritizing its push for federalism.

“[K]aya ko sinasabing hindi ito napapanahon dahil nababalot tayo ngayon ng napakaraming problema,” she said in a press briefing on Tuesday, noting in particular the effects of inflation on the poor.

The Vice President also called to task the administration on “endo,” or the end of contract hiring scheme, and the lack of anti-dynasty legislation—both measures President Rodrigo Duterte has said he was amenable to addressing. Ending endo, in particular, was one of the President’s campaign promises.

“Sana the soonest possible time maipasa na ito,” she said.
