It’s payback time! Duterte vows to go after cops in cahoots with Parojinogs
President Rodrigo Duterte hasn’t forgotten the alleged involvement of some policemen in Ozamiz City in the death of six soldiers years ago.
In a speech at the 116th anniversary of the police service in Camp Crame Wednesday (August 9), Duterte vowed to avenge the death of the soldiers who were allegedly killed by policemen working for Parojinog.
“I will be visiting Ozamiz. I will not tell you when. But I will warn the policemen there. ‘Yung kasama ni Parojinog and his cahoots who are members of the PNP and who were responsible for the deaths of the six soldiers before, you will have your comeuppance,” he said.
Duterte earlier tagged the Parojinogs in the illegal drug trade and other crimes.
Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. and 14 others were killed in a raid conducted by members of the Region 10 Criminal Investigation and Detection Group on July 30.
The mayor’s daughter, Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog, is currently detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame.
