Jinggoy seeks hospital procedure due to stomach pain, bowel problems
Former Senator Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada has asked permission from the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division to undergo medical a medical procedure at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City.
Estrada has filed a motion before the anti-graft court for a two-day medical pass with his plan to undergo video colonoscopy.
The former lawmaker said he has been suffering from abdominal pains as well as bowel problems. Estrada previously underwent bariatric surgery to curb his appetite by reducing the size of his stomach.
Estrada underwent blood test last July 12 and his physician, Dr. Regina L. Bagsic, informed him he has elevated levels of carcinoembryonic antigen and, because of this, he was advised to undergo a video colonoscopy.
