Justice for Atio! Father of hazing victim appeals to UST students for help
The father of Horacio “Atio” Castillo III on Monday appealed to the students of the University of Sto. Tomas and even to his classmates to come out and share what they know surrounding his son’s death.
Horacio Jr. or Tito made the appeal during Monday’s Senate investigation on the death of Atio, 22, a freshman UST law student who died after undergoing initiation rites.
“Difficult as it may, be please tell us more about what you know regarding Atio’s death. As shown by the Senate hearing the whole country is behind you,” he said.
Tito said that Atio, also known as “Hor” to his classmates, wanted to become “a lawyer, senator and even as justice of the Supreme Court.”
“We want to know the truth of what happened that night and any details of his final hours with him and let him know that he is not alone. That we are always with him,” he added.
Tito also reiterated his plea to the officials of the UST faculty civil law to ensure a thorough and impartial and investigation into Atio’s murder.
