Karen Jimeno out of DPWH, to join PMS
Abogado Karen Jimeno is no longer part of the Department of Public Works and Highways, Politiko has learned.
Jimeno, who served as DPWH Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Priority Projects, will be joining the Presidential Management Staff (PMS). She will reportedly oversee the progress of the administration’s rehabilitation projects.
The pretty abogada appeared to have given a hint about the change in her career in an April 11 tweet which read: “When He closes a door, trust that the path will lead to something better.”
President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Jimeno to DPWH in 2016.
Jimeno shot to fame as a defense lawyer and spokesperson of the late Chief Justice Renato Corona in his impeachment trial in 2012.
She holds a law degree from the University of the Philippines, where she graduated cum laude, and a Masters of Law degree from Harvard Law School.
