Kerwin Espinosa’s drug business in Leyte ain’t peanuts: He’s raking in P50M a year
Alleged drug lord Kerwin Espinosa is turning over P50 million worth of shabu every year in his home turf in the Visayas.
In his testimony at the Senate hearing on the killing of his father, Espinosa revealed that he could afford to pay hefty bribes or payola or SOP to politikos and police to protect his business because of the high 50 percent profit margin.
Espinosa estimated that he earned between P50 million and P60 million in 2014 and 2015; and P30 million to P35 million in 2016.
“Ang average po ay kumikita ako ng 10 million to 15 million in 40 days. Nasa mga kalahati na lang po ng gross ma’am (ang naitatabi ko),” said Espinosa.
Espinosa said that since he went big time in the drug business four years ago after hooking up with drug lords Peter Co and Peter Lim and expanding his purchases fro, long time suppliers the late Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz and Lovely Adam Impal.
