Kitakits sa Mayo! Impeach raps vs. Robredo to be filed after end of Congress’ Lenten break
Vice President Leni Robredo will have around a month and a half to prepare for the legal battle she will be facing next: an impeachment complaint.
A six-member group on Thursday (March 23) announced they will be filing the impeachment complaint against Robredo when Congress resumes session on May 2 after an ongoing Lenten break.
The so-called “Impeach Leni” team is composed of the following: Department of Interior and Local Government Assistant Secretary Epimaco Densing III, lawyers Tom Berenguer, Bruce Rivera, Ahmed Paglinawan and Trixie Cruz Angeles (Politiko’s former publisher), and professor Antonio Contreras.
House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez is said to have offered to endorse the group’s complaint well ahead of its filing.
