Kung alam ko lang sana: DLSU’s Richard Heydarian offers to ‘give’ 1 of 2 BBC interviews to DDS blogger

Nov 14, 2017 @ 21:39

De La Salle University political science professor Richard Heydarian poked fun at the commotion caused by a Filipino blogger at the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Manila by “offering” one of his interviews with the BBC.

In a Facebook post Monday (November 13), Heydarian said: “Teh, dalawa interviews ko sa BBC today. If alam ko lang sana, pinamigay ko yung isa.”

Heydarian was obviously referring to pro-Duterte blogger Sass Sasot, who became controversial for confronting BBC Southeast Asia correspondent Jonathan Head in front of local and international media covering the ASEAN Summit.

Sasot was furious at Head for interviewing administration blogger-critic Jover Laurio without getting her side.

The Netherlands-based blogger, who flew to Manila for the ASEAN Summit, said she cannot figure why Laurio had to be featured by the BBC when she was just a “very minor blogger.”

Sasot said that compared to Laurio of the Pinoy Ako Blog, she has higher social media following and Facebook engagement.
