We like to smash it! OFW claims LBC wrecked, stole from his balikbayan box
An overseas Filipino worker based in Malaysia has accused Filipino freight company LBC of destroying his balikbayan box to pilfer its contents.
Jhomer Abrina posted on Facebook photos of the balikbayan box when it was received by LBC in Malaysia and upon its arrival to his family in Palawan.
In Malaysia, the boxes appeared to be in excellent condition as it was taped and secured by LBC employees.
Upon arrival in Palawan, however, several layers of brown tape were already peeled off. There was also a tear in the box.
In the caption, Abrina wrote: “Tingnan niyo naman mukha ng mga boxes ko nong kinukuha pa Lang nila., ngayon mukhang basurang nakatambay sa palengke na ng dumating…”
He accused LBC employees of stealing from his balikbayan box, an act which he said made him lose his trust in the company.
