Long weekend talaga! Senate suspends work from April 25-27 due to Asean
It will be quite a long weekend for employees of the Philippine Senate in Pasay City, as they need to report for work only on one day this coming week.
Senate OIC and majority leader Vicente Sotto III instructed that April 25 to 27 would be non-working days in the Senate.
The instruction was relayed late Friday by Senate Secretary Lutgardo Barbo.
Meanwhile, the long holiday will spill over to the following week as May 1, Labor Day, is a holiday. The Senate resumes session on May 2.
Earlier, Malacanang decreed that April 27 and 28 will be non-working days in Pasay City due to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit at the Philippine International Convention Center.
