LOOK: Hindi mauubusan! Duterte meets with FVR a day after ‘private time’ surprise
President Rodrigo Duterte is back in the public eye, a day after skipped an event in Malacañang to have what Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque described as “private time.”
Photos uploaded by Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go showed Duterte meeting with former President Fidel V. Ramos in the Palace Thursday (October 4). The two men saluted at each other and had a chat in one of Malacañang’s rooms.
Duterte also met with some awardees and government employees at Malacañang’s Rizal Hall.
Based on the official schedule sent to the Malacañang Press Corps, the President was scheduled to have a joint command conference with the top brass of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police.
He will also have a dinner with the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association, Inc. (PMAAAI) and other veterans’ groups at 7 p.m.
Speculation about Duterte’s health swirled once again after he was a no-show at the turnover of a check from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation Wednesday (October 3). Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea attended the event in his place.
There were rumors that Duterte was taken to Cardinal Santos Medical Center but the Palace denied it. Roque said the President wanted to have “private time” so he skipped the PAGCOR event.
