LOOK: Sinisiraan si Duterte? Trillanes meets with Trump’s allies to talk human rights
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has flown to the United States while the Senate is on recess to talk with American senators about among others, the human rights situation in the country.
Based on photos that appeared on social media, Trillanes appears to be targeting Republican senators who are allied with US President Donald Trump.
Among the American senators whom Trillanes visited are Republicans Marco Rubio and Robert Aderholt.
He also met with Democratic Senator Bill Nelson.
In a tweet, Rubio said he discussed “protecting human rights” amid the Philippines’ “narcotics’ crisis” with Trillanes.

According to Politiko’s source, Trillanes is making personal visits to the offices of US senators to convince them to condemn extrajudicial killings (EJKs).
In particular, the senator is targeting Republican lawmakers and asking them to help convince Trump not to push through with his visit to the Philippines next month.
This, he said, will be Trump’s way of condemning the EJKs that have supposedly happened under President Rodrigo Duterte.
Trump will be in the Philippines in November for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Leaders’ Summit.
