Maiba naman! Digong talks about global warming, its impact to our environment

Although he had reservations about signing the Paris climate change agreement, President Duterte recognized the impact of global warming to the country which caused the massive typhoons.

In a speech in Pili, Camarines Sur, Duterte admitted he had reservations in signing the agreement but he was prodded by members of Non-Government Organizations whom he said “are more brighter than the President.”

“So mga kababayan ko… ang masasabi ko lang ganito, just like the message that I have, that I gave to the other places, alam mo itong inyong lugar, kumbaga bahay ang Pilipinas, ang unang bintana sa Pacific where the typhoons are nurtured and cultured by the hot and air current and current… nandiyan sa Pacific Ocean,” he said.

“Now, the reason why mas matindi ngayon is because the Earth, planet Earth is getting warmer, mas malaki ang singaw ng… ang moisture sa itaas pati nasira daw, sabi nila dahil sa climate change,” he added.
