Malacanang strongly condemned today’s bomb explosion in General Santos City, wounding at least seven people.
The explosion occurred at 11:40 a.m. at Crossing Makar National Highway, according to Philippine National Police spokesperson Senior Superintended Benigno Durana.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms today’s explosion that hit General Santos City which left scores of people injured,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. said Sunday.
“This comes at an unfortunate time when the nation is reeling from the effects of Ompong,” said Roque.
Police authorities are now looking into the matter, he added.
“We vow to bring the perpetrators of this brazen attack to justice.”
