Matatakaw lang ang nalilito: Lacson bares why ‘pork’ confuses many lawmakers
If there’s anything that causes confusion, it’s greed and not the search for what is right and true.
Sen. Panfilo Lacson said this Thursday after Rep. Karlo Nograles claimed he may have been “confused” on the issue of pork in the P3.35-trillion budget for 2017.
“An honest-to-goodness search search for what is right and true does not confuse the mind. Greed does,” Lacson said in response to a question from state-run People’s Television.

In a separate tweet, Lacson said: “The search for what is right and true does not confuse the mind. Greed does.”

Earlier, Lacson disclosed that P8 billion in pork-like insertions that he had removed from the Department of Public Works and Highways’ 2017 budget had been restored.
Worse, the restored amount came from huge cuts in the calamity fund for 2017, he said.
But Malacanang insisted that there is no pork in the budget.
