Mga slow kasi: Duterte says Congress, SC just can’t get his name and shame game on narco-politikos

Capeesh?

This is probably what President Rodrigo Duterte wants to tell Congress and Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno who still don’t understand the method to his madness in publicly shaming narco-politikos.

In a speech in Davao City Tuesday, Duterte denied that he was out to arrest the 159 mayors, representatives, judges and police officers allegedly knee-deep in the drug trade simply because he has no evidence to build a case against them just yet.

“Ganito kasi iyan eh, I cannot arrest you and I’d like to inform Congress and the Supreme Court — I am not arresting anybody, kasi ang marijuana just like a firearm, mahuli talaga kita. Gaya ng may plantation diyan, so many hectares, pag natapos iyan, it’s cultivated and sold and one year magkita tayo, sabihin mo ‘iyo iyan’, wala na rin ako magawa. Pagdating korte you’d say that, ‘hindi totoo iyan tinakot lang ako ng military o police’, I must get you na hawak talaga ng ano (evidence),” said Duterte.

Duterte explained that going after these narco-politikos was not an easy job unless you caught them in the act or in possession of illegal drugs.

“(SA) baril, kailangan mahuli ka na may baril; kapag hindi, sabihin mo one month after na nagdadala ka ng baril dito sa Davao, wala rin.

And that is happening sa droga.

So a I will not allow under my watch, I will not allow the Philippine Republic to wilt, just like a flower after a few days nalalaya. I will not allow this shit under me,” Duterte added.
