Missing the Shopping Center at UP? Here’s where the tenants are now
It’s been a few weeks since the iconic Shopping Center at the University of the Philippines Diliman was razed by a fire.
Gone with the flames were the stores that offer cheap services and products to just about anybody who sets on campus.
Instead of permanently closing shop, the Shopping Center’s tenants have relocated to the Tennis Court in Area 2. They set up tents and resumed selling their wares.
Law student Rafael Alejandro Solis said the products remain affordable as ever, with the Maroons shop selling licensed UP merchandise at a discount. Men can also have haircuts for as low as P85.
While it may take a while to rebuild the Shopping Center, members of the UP community need only to go to Area 2 for the items and services they love.
