Mocha Uson apologizes to Muslims for mosque visit
Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson has offered a public apology to the Muslim community for her recent controversial visit to a mosque in Marawi City.
Uson earlier joined President Duterte in the visit to the iconic Islamic Center Mosque but the video showed the group’s supposed failure to follow certain protocols in the Muslim place of worship. The group reportedly wore boots inside the mosque while Uson did not wear a hijab or veil.
She also disputed a GMA-7 news report claiming she took selfies inside the mosque. She said a video of the visit showed she was granting photo session outside the mosque.
