Na-project? Koko says senators behind online shame campaign against Duterte 7 could face ethics probe
The blog post which ridiculed seven senators for allegedly refusing to support a resolution denouncing extrajudical killings (EJKs) could be a part of a demolition “project” to taint the image of pro-Duterte senators .
Senate President Koko Pimentel said he has yet to verify allegations that the minority bloc was behind the shame campaign against the Duterte 7 senators.
The Pinoy Ako blog post claimed that Pimentel, together with Senators Tito Sotto, Dick Gordon, Manny Pacquiao, Migz Zubiri, Gringo Honasan, and Cynthia Villar “refused” to sign Resolution 516 authored by Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, a member of the minority bloc.
Villar on Wednesday accused opposition Senators Risa Hontiveros and Bam Aquino of plotting to “destroy” the majority bloc.
The minority senators denied her allegation.
Pimentel said in a radio interview.
Fact-finding pa po tayo,” Pimentel said.
He added, “P’wede naman magpatawad.
