Nag-quote na lang mali pa! UP Diliman Library corrects Calida over Twitter post
The library of the University of the Philippines Diliman has called out Solicitor General Jose Calida for erroneously attributing a quote he shared on Twitter to renowned author C.S. Lewis.
In a Twitter post, the UPD Library said fact-checking Calida’s post showed the quote, “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching,” was not made by Lewis. Rather, it was written by author Charles Marshall in the book titled Shattering the Glass Slipper.
taking a jab at Calida, the UPD Library added the following hashtags to its post: #CiteYourSources #DoNotPlagiarize #AcademicHonesty.
Calida tweeted the quote to accompany his statement hitting Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno over her failure to file all of her 11 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALNs) while she was a professor at the UP College of Law.
Last night @SolGenCalida shared a great quote, but a fact check shows that it is incorrectly attributed to C.S. Lewis. https://t.co/kxCunPpVxa #CiteYourSources #DoNotPlagiarize #AcademicHonesty https://t.co/X6Kj7sZ180
