No Senate death wish: Angara hesitant to dance Cha-cha with House
Senator Sonny Angara is reluctant to support the proposed amendments to the Constitution towards federalism since this might lead to the abolition of the Senate.
“How can House expect d Senate 2 dance 2 Chacha if d proposals seek to abolish the Senate. So, sayaw Tayo pero patayin kita mmya k? 😂 #esepesep?” Angara tweeted.
Angara made the remarks after House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo filed a resolution calling for separate voting by the House of Representatives and the Senate on Charter change (Cha-cha).
Arroyo said there was an urgent need for the House of Representatives and the Senate to convene as a constituent assembly to consider proposed amendments to the 1987 Constitution.
