Noy sure of 2019 win, but…

Former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III is confident that he would win in 2019 should he run again, but would rather back opposition politikos gunning for seats in Congress.
Speaking to reporters at the sidelines of the commemoration of the ninth death anniversary of his mother, former President Corazon Aquino, Noynoy said it would make more sense to support opposition politikos who could win more seats, rather than campaigning for himself for one seat.
Liberal Party President Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan has said Aquino would not be making a return to the Senate in 2019.
Instead, the opposition coalition composed of the Liberal Party, the Magdalo group and Tindig Pilipinas would be fielding Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino, Magdalo party-list Rep. Gary Alejano, former Reps. Erin Tañada and Barry Gutierrez, Free Legal Assistance Group chair Chel Diokno and actress Agot Isidro.
Asked for his assessment of the opposition, Aquino said, “Basta lumabas ka lang sa kalye, magtanong ka.
Opposition politikos have their work cut out for them as the incumbent Senator Aquino remains their only candidate in the winners’ circle in pre-election surveys.
