Ombudsman hot on Mocha Uson’s heels: Explain ‘Pepederalismo’ scandal
Resigned Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson has been directed by the Office of the Ombudsman to respond to the complaint against her concerning her controversial “Pepederalismo for Deaf People” video.
Assistant Ombudsman Joselito Fangon has already sent a letter Uson who was directed to file a comment over the complaint filed by the Philippine Federation of the Deaf.
“This Office has likewise received reports of your alleged involvement in ‘lewd federalism jingle’ video purportedly as part of the government’s campaign for federalism information dissemination,” the letter read.
The complaint stemmed from video Uson and blogger Drew Olivar over the “Pepederalismo for Deaf People” video they posted on Facebook last September 14.
In her complaint, the respondents are accused of having violated the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons for having made the insulting video where they mimicked sign language and mute sounds.
“Uson and Olivar were laughing and making fun of us. Together, they stepped all over us and crushed us, killing our dignity,” the complaint read.
