Pagod lang ‘yan! Duque denies Duterte’s weight loss related to ‘growth’ in stomach
Health Secretary Francisco Duque III has denied that President Rodrigo Duterte lost weight as a result of the “growth” that doctors recently found in his digestive tract.
In a radio interview Saturday (October 6), Duque attributed Duterte’s weight loss to his work and the calamities that affected the country recently.
“‘Yung pagpayat naman eh dahil yan sa kaniyang matinding pagtugon at pagtrabaho upang bisitahin ang mga lugar na nasalanta, sunod sunod ‘yan,” he said.
“Syempre pagod din si Pangulo,” Duque added.
Last September, the entire Luzon experienced the fury of typhoon Ompong. This was followed by landslides in Itogon, Benguet and Naga City, Cebu.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque earlier said that a “growth” was found in Duterte’s digestive tract when he underwent medical tests.
The “growth,” Roque said, was the reason doctors wanted some samples taken from the President.
Duterte said he stayed for over an hour at Cardinal Santos Medical Center on Wednesday for another round of medical exams.
