Malacañang on Tuesday belittled the statement of Senator Antontio Trillanes IV that President Rodrigo Duterte would suffer the same fate as him.

A Makati court earlier issued a warrant of arrest and hold departure order against Trillanes over the 2007 Manila Peninsula siege.

His arrest stemmed from Duterte’s Proclamation No. 572, which voided the amnesty granted to the former Navy lieutenant by then President Benigno Aquino III in 2010.

“Well siya po siguro’y nananaginip ‘no. Ang pagkakaiba po nila, naging piskal po ang ating Presidente, abogado po ang ating Presidente; alam niya ang ginagawa niya, alam niya ang batas,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. said in a radio dzMM interview.

Roque also denied that Trillanes, one of Duterte’s fiercest critics in Congress, is being subjected to political vendetta.

Eh wala naman siyang mapakita,” he added.
